The gym is a very family friendly place, and the company’s owners strive to accommodate every member’s wants.  The gym was actually founded by 2 fitness buffs back in 2003, so the gym has been around a while now.  Another plus the gym has, is the non-commissioned sales team.  I, as well as many other consumers and or members really hate going into a store, restaurant, or any other place of business where people follow you around and shove things in your face to buy.  A perfect example would be a car lot.  Let’s say you are in the market for a new vehicle and you just want to browse to see what the wonderful world of cars has to offer.  Well the instant you step out of your own vehicle, the salesman or saleswoman pounce on you.  Asking you what you are looking for, how much you want to spend, and what they have.  Then within about 10 or so minutes they expect to see you in their office signing papers, of a brand new purchased vehicle.  It is so overwhelming, that number one, the car salesman or saleswoman has scared you off completely, because you were not prepared to make a purchase that day and felt too pressured.  Or, the salesman or saleswoman has pressured you so badly into making a purchase that you unfortunately make a poor decision by purchasing something on the spot and later after you are home you come down with the buyer’s remorse flu.  Either way the customer left that car lot with a very upsetting feeling.  Now, that may be of an extreme case, but nonetheless it is sparked from the truth, and that is no one wants to feel pressured into buying something.  Well when businesses such as dealerships provide a commission based salary for their employees it creates a total monster out of their employees.  The employee feels completely pressured to cover their bills and the only way they are going to do that and put food on the table for their own families is to make a sale.  Well it is a very vicious cycle, because the more enthusiasm and or pressure an employee based on commission has, the less the consumer and or member will likely take the bait, therefore not only is the employee upset because they did not make a sale, but the consumer is disappointed because either they purchased something they regret or they walk away with absolutely nothing to show for their visit.  So as for going to a gym where employees are not being paid on commission it makes the whole atmosphere that much more relaxing, and after working out for an hour or more, you want to be relaxed, not stressed.
